Help us keep Patterson Library strong for future generations!
Rusting steel lintels above the nine large windows at the rear of Patterson Library are damaging the surrounding brickwork at a steadily increasing rate. You can't see these lintels, but you can see the damage: loosening bricks and mortar are telltale signs of a problem that will only get worse.
What do we need?
The project will cost $82,500. A New York State Public Library Construction Grant will cover half the cost, but we still need a matching amount, $41,250, to complete the project and keep Patterson strong for a bright future.
How can you donate?
There are three easy ways:
Mail a Check: Send a check to 40 S. Portage St, Westfield NY 14787 made out to Patterson Library.
At the Library: Your gift will help our Garden grow! Purchase a blossom at Patterson Library, put your name on it and add it to our growing garden of generous donors.
Credit Card Online: Online credit card payments can be made by clicking on Donate below.
All gifts to the 2012 Capital Campaign are tax deductible. A receipt will be mailed to you for tax purposes.
On November 28, Patterson Library unveiled a new stained glass window
created by glass artist Patrick Todoroff, donated by Sandra Hurd and
Joel Potash in memory of Patricia Nixon Greenleaf and Faith Crandall
Scott. Todoroff was asked to create a window inspired by and
accentuatiung the gorgeous view of Patterson's Pergola Garden. The
window features a fitting quote from Cicero: "If you have a garden and
a library, you have everything you need." The window is a tribute to
two remarkable women who appreciated the value that great libraries
give to our lives.
