The Twayne Authors Series - Twayne World, English, and US Authors

MasterFILE Select
Designed specifically for public libraries, this multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 750 general reference publications with coverage dating as far back as 1984. Covering virtually every subject area of general interest, MasterFILE Select also includes 37 full text reference books and an Image Collection of 116,000 photos, maps and flags. This database is updated daily via EBSCOhost.

Primary Search
Primary Search provides full text for more than 60 popular, magazines for elementary school research. All full text articles included in the database are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles), and full text information dates as far back as 1990. This database is updated daily on EBSCOhost.

Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia
This database provides over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a variety of subject areas.

EBSCO Animals
Provides in-depth information on a variety of topics relating to animals. The database consists of indexing, abstracts, and full text records describing the nature and habitat of familiar animals.

General Science Collection
This database offers full text coverage for more than 60 of the most popular science publications. Providing information on all aspects of the scientific world, the General Science Collection offers full text information dating back as far as 1992.

TOPICSearch
This current events database allows researchers to explore social, political & economic issues, scientific discoveries and other popular topics discussed in today's classrooms. TOPICsearch contains full text for over 64,000 articles from more than 3,000 diverse sources, including more than 1,500 full text periodicals.

Searchasaurus is EBSCO's newest resource for elementary- to middle school-age users. Complete with erupting volcanoes, dinosaur guide and compass, it includes encyclopedias, dictionaries, books, and more.

OverDrive Audio Books

• Remote Access via 13-digit library card number (barcode number starting 11896...) and 4-digit PIN; ask at Circulation Desk if you do not have a PIN

• 577 audio book titles currently available

• Currenlty will not work with iPods, but iPod compatible books will soon be coming available

• Requires that the Overdrive software be loaded onto a computer to allow downloading

• Once downloaded a book can be transferred to an mp3 player, burned to a CD, or played on a computer
